Part four of L SS— Series Pure water cooling device
Ⅴ、Application
1、 Fabricate a concrete foundation according to the drawing. There should be a weep hole or a drainage passage to discharge the effluent during shakedown test or repair. Tap water should be drawn into room and a 1/2” valve and water trough should be installed.
2、 Mount the device on the prefabricated concrete foundation.
3、 Position of the elevated water vessel OS to be determined by the user. The vessel may be mounted on the frame of against the wall. It should be a bit higher than rectifying cabinet. Φ19 laminated rubber pipe of rated pressure of 0.5 Mpa (GB1187-74) is to be used for connection with the device.
4、 Install the connection pipelines for the primary and auxiliary equipment. The pipelines
should be made of either stainless steel or engineering plastics and cleaned before installation. The inlet and the outlet for pure water have been fitted each with a stainless steel flange union when delivered. Stainless steel pipes of the same diameter as that of the union are to be welded on the union. Install all the external pipes for secondary cooling water, test for pressure and tightness.
5、 If the heat exchangers are in slack condition when delivered, it is necessary to adjust them
tight before put into operation. For this purpose, loose the flanges for adjusting the tightness of the plates, screw tight the lead screws of exchangers from centre to bottom ends gradually. (Be sure to tighten the lead screws multiple times so as not to damage
the plates. The peripheral heights should be equal. ) Tighten the adjusting flanges again. The dimension of the plates after having been tightened is 210mm (not including thickness of the upper and lower plates). If the plates have reached this dimension when delivered, they needn’t be tightened.
6、 Open the electrical control box. Connect the four power input lines L1、L2、L3 and N
according to the position of the terminals. Connect the ground joint properly.
7、 Type conversion of new ion exchange resins having no exchange ability due to neutral exchange groups, the newly purchased anion and action exchange resins must be treated to change their type. For the process of type conversion, please peat relevant books. Usually the type conversion operation is to be carried out with the help of persons from our plant. Here is only a brief recount of the process.
For strong a cid 732 action exchange resin: washing soaking in 10%NaC1 marinate washing dynamic or static treating in 6% HCl washing to PH=5.
For strong base 717 anion exchange resin: washing soaking in 10% NaCl washing Dynamic or static treating in 4% marinate washing to PH=9. continue to run a few minutes, stop running, twist open drainage valve of low punch expansion water tank to discharge water by hose; if discharged water is dirty, boot should be repeated several times for cleanout. Re-fill water tank with pure water near full, and continue to boot to render air of our cooling system charged. When level of low punch expansion water tank declines, pure water should be added.
8、 Washing and trial running: Close the inlet and the outlet valves V21and V22of the ion exchangers and open all other valves of the pure water loop.Remove the gland of the expansion valve on the top of the water vessel. Open the hose V22 to let the clean tap water flow into the device. When the water has reached the upper part of the level cabinet of the water vessel, close the hose . Alternatively the water may be added through the mouth of the elevated water vessel, close the hose. Alternatively the water may be added through the mouth of the elevated water vessel. Open a little the pressure regulating valve V16 or V17. Switch on the power start the device.Check the direction of rotation of the two pumps. Adjust V16 or V17 gradually to attain the required pressure. Open the vent valves on the external pipe lines and the main equipment pipe lines .Replace the gland into the expansion valve. Inspect the uptightness of the loop. Adjust the electrical and control items . Set the upper and lower alarm limits of the electrical contact temperature and pressure gauges t
the required positions. Allow the device to run for several minutes more. Store is .Then drain water. If the drained water is dirty , Start the device and carry on the washing system several times. Fill again the water vessel with pure water to nearly ·he ion exchangerswith converted and thoroughly mixed anion and action resins in the ratio of 2:1 start the device. Open V22 . Open V21 slowly. When the resistively of the pure water in the loop has risen gradually to the required value, stop the device. Now the device is ready for use .Once the valves have been set properly, no adjustment is necessary usually
9、Operation: Start the device. When all the parts are running normally, put the primary
equipment into operation. The temperature of pure water will rise gradually. Open the inlet and outlet valves for the secondary water and adjust the flow to keep the temperature of the pure water within the required range. The state of the two pumps (working or spare) is to be exchanged when the working pump has run for about 10 shifts. For this purpose, press the button for the pump to be put into operation and no change of valves is needed.
